Built for Shops That Know Their Customers by Name
GotOneForYa started with a simple observation: independent guitar shops are sitting on one of the most valuable assets in retail — personal relationships with customers who trust them — but they have no reliable system for acting on it.
A customer says "let me know if you ever get a butterscotch Tele." The shop owner says "absolutely." And then life happens. Trade-ins pile up, the weekend rush hits, and three months later, the perfect guitar comes and goes without that customer ever hearing about it.
That's the problem GotOneForYa solves.
What We Do
GotOneForYa is an AI-powered matching system that connects customer want requests with new inventory the moment it arrives. Customers scan a QR code at the counter, describe what they're looking for in plain language, and the system remembers. When a matching guitar comes in — even if the description doesn't use the same words — the customer gets a text from the shop.
No apps to install. No accounts to create. No workflow changes for the shop. Just a smarter way to do something shop owners have always tried to do: remember what their customers want and tell them when it shows up.
Who Built This
GotOneForYa was built by David, a software engineer who spent enough time in guitar shops to see the same pattern everywhere: great people, great inventory knowledge, and a want list system held together by sticky notes and good intentions.
The goal was never to replace the personal touch that makes independent shops special. It's to make that personal touch reliable — to ensure that every customer request gets matched, every time, without fail.
Why Independent Shops
Big chains don't need this. They have enterprise inventory systems, corporate CRMs, and marketing departments. Independent shops have a guy named Dave who remembers most of what most customers want most of the time.
GotOneForYa is built specifically for shops where the owner knows the regulars, where the staff can talk tone for an hour, and where the relationship between the shop and the customer is the whole point. These shops deserve tools that match their values — simple, personal, and effective.
