Three Steps. Zero Friction.
GotOneForYa is designed to fit into how your shop already works. No POS integration, no software training, no workflow changes. Here's the entire process:
Step 1: QR Code at the Counter
We provide a small counter card with a QR code. It sits next to the register, on the counter, or wherever customers naturally hang out. When a customer mentions they're looking for something specific, you point them to the card.
They scan it with their phone camera — no app download required — and land on a simple form tied to your shop. They type what they're looking for and enter their phone number. That's it.
Step 2: Customer Describes What They Want
Here's where it gets interesting. Customers don't need to fill out dropdowns or pick from categories. They describe what they want in their own words, exactly how they'd say it to you:
- "A Tele with P90s under $800"
- "Any Martin D-28 from the 90s"
- "Something versatile for blues and jazz, semi-hollow maybe"
- "LP with humbuckers, prefer a '59 neck profile"
The system understands all of these. Not through keyword matching — through AI that actually knows guitar culture. It knows "LP" means Les Paul. It knows "butterscotch" and "Butterscotch Blonde" are the same thing. It knows an ES-335 is the quintessential semi-hollow for blues and jazz.
Step 3: Matching Happens Automatically
When you enter a new trade-in, consignment, or arrival into the system, it's instantly checked against every active customer request. The AI compares meaning, not just words:
| Customer asked for... | New arrival | Match? |
|---|---|---|
| "natural finish Tele" | Fender Player Telecaster, Butterscotch Blonde | Yes |
| "LP with humbuckers" | 2020 Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s | Yes |
| "something for blues, semi-hollow" | Epiphone ES-335 Figured, $449 | Yes |
When a match is found, the customer gets a text message — from your shop, with the guitar details. They reply, you hold it, they pick it up. Sale closed before it ever hits Reverb.
What the Customer Sees
The experience from the customer's side is dead simple:
- Scan the QR code at the counter
- Type what they're looking for
- Get a text when it arrives
No app. No account. No password. Just a text from a shop they already know and trust, saying: "Hey, got one for ya."
What the Shop Owner Sees
On your side, it's equally straightforward:
- A dashboard showing all active customer requests
- A simple intake form for new arrivals (or you can type a description, just like your customers do)
- Automatic match notifications — the system tells you who to text, with the details already written
- Match history so you can see what's been matched and what's still waiting
No training required. If you can send a text message, you can use GotOneForYa.
